Creative Commons Jack O’ Lantern from Jimmy Wales and Kira Wales

Posted in free culture at 9:43 pm by jwales

Two years ago I made a Wikipedia Jack O’ Lantern. It rocked. This year my daughter Kira came up with a brilliant idea: a Creative Commons Jack O’ Lantern. So we worked together and made it.

I love Halloween.

Your ~5-year-old daughter suggested a Creative Commons pumpkin? I fear for humanity’s future now that geeks are allowed to breed.

  2. That’s pretty silly, but nice to see you pushing a great cause!

That’s really cute. And slightly easier to carve into a pumpkin than “GNU Free Documentation License”.

Jimbo, that’s a great way to maim a pumpkin and all, but um, couldn’t you have used a printer?

The pics with the tracing paper remind me of the joke about older office workers constantly having to clean whiteout off their monitors… :-)
